rhinoplasty-blow-noseRecovery from rhinoplasty will take a couple of weeks and during that time there are different guidelines that the patient needs to follow. Once of the most common questions that people ask is if it is ok to blow your nose after rhinoplasty? The answer to the question is no. The reason is that the nose needs significant time to heal.

Two to three days after the nose job, bruising and swelling will be at highest. During this time you will be asked to no blow your nose for 7 days. Excessive sniffing should be avoided also as these actions will only irritate the tissues that need to heal. The nose should not be blown forcefully for 4 weeks.

Individuals who need to sneeze should open their mouth.

To reiterate the after rhinoplasty the nose should not be blown for 7 days as it needs time to heal.
